How it works
Step 1: Catch a drop
Every Tuesday, preorders go live on Hotplate. Preorders are open from Tuesday-Thursday, or until we sell out.
Sign up for our text alerts and follow up on Instagram to be notified when orders go live.
Step 2: Place an order
Orders can be placed on our Hotplate. Once your order is placed, you will see the pickup location. For reference, it’ll be in the Logan Square neighborhood.
Step 3. Pick up your order
Pick up your order from the designated pick up location, and enjoy your freshly baked bread. Don’t forget to leave us a review!

Hey, i’m Justin – owner, baker, and sourdough lover.
I started Ferm Co. in 2025 baking bread for my friends and family. Everyone told me how good the bread is, so why not bring it to everyone else!

Ferm is short for Fermentation, the process all of our baked goods go through before being sold to you!
Eventually we plan to offer other items that ferment as well. Keep an eye out for updates! 👀

Expect high quality, fresh, baked goods made by a local Chicago cottage baker. The menu will start small (only sourdough bread), but we will soon expand to bread with inculsions, english muffins, bagels, pretzels, and more!
